The art and science used by web designers to create an online presence / a website by which the organization can easily be recognized and additional information about the organization, its services and products can be obtained , is called web designing.

What is a Website?

A digital presence in the form of one page or multiple interconnected pages, used to showcase information about products or services online. A website holds all the important information required by end users when purchasing or gathering information about a product or service.

What are the diffeent types of websites?

Websites are primarily classified into two different types:

  • Static websites : A website that does not have a content management or database management interface is called a static website. Such websites are cheaper to build. However content updating and regular page and feature additions to such websites can push the cost up significantly. Static websites are best suited for organizations and individuals who do not require frequent updating to the content/ features/ pages of the website.
  • Dynamic websites : A website that has a content management or database management interface is called a dynamic website. Such websites do cost a little more, but allow the owner or administrator to manage content, add/edit pages on the website, without the need of going back to the web designer or developer. Content updating and regular page additions to such websites are quite easy. Dynamic websites are best suited for organizations and individuals who require frequent updating to the content/ features/ pages of the website.
